VIDEO: Fires Target 11 Believers in India

A night of terror occurred recently for 11 new believers in Northern India.

This is actual footage provided to us by our field partners.

As we step into a new year, we’re reminded that much of the work we do to serve persecuted believers in Asia happens quietly and often goes unseen.

In fact, many urgent needs we meet never get reported due to the surrounding dangers—but every so often, we’re able to share a glimpse into what believers are facing and how timely help can make a difference.

This video captures one such moment from India recently, where 11 new Christian believers narrowly escaped being burned alive when extremists set their homes on fire as they slept, leaving everything they owned in ashes.

What you’ll see is the aftermath of that terror—the destruction, the loss, and the courage of families now displaced and still at risk because of their faith.

As you watch, we invite you to prayerfully consider standing with believers like these. If you feel led to help meet urgent needs as they arise throughout the year, you can give to our Persecution & Relief Fund, which allows us to respond immediately when crisis strikes.

We are currently helping these believers with basic shelter and essential living supplies, providing life-sustaining support as they recover from this devastating loss, and ongoing threats to their safety.

On August 26th, a catastrophic debris flow and flood, triggered by a glacial collapse, struck Nepal near the Chinese border. This torrent traveled nearly 100 km (62 miles), destroying everything and everyone in its path. The scale of this devastation is unprecedented. Although the number of fatalities is uncertain right now, it has undoubtedly killed many thousands of people. One ministry we support sent a reassuring report that they were able to account for all their ministers living within the disaster zone. Tragically, however, entire house church fellowships perished in the flood, along with many of their family members.
