"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers" (Galatians 6:10).

Just last Wednesday evening, June 22nd, a massive fire ripped through an impoverished village in a Muslim country where Asia Harvest has been helping for many years.

Thousands of people have been affected by the fire, among then 22 Christian families who are the light of Jesus amid a sea of darkness in their communities. They have lost everything except their faith. Here is what three of the Christian families wrote:

"I was praying when I saw the big fire, and I told the Lord Jesus, "It's okay if part of my house burns down but I ask you preserve part of it so we can find some shelter for our children. I was shocked when I went in the morning and found our house was still intact while all of my neighbors' homes were burned to ash. The Lord Jesus is awesome! We are reaching out with the Gospel to those who have lost everything."



"Everyone was panicking and grabbing what they could, but the first thing we did was to secure our precious Bible. We are content to lose all our clothing and shelter but we can not live without God's Word."

"We lost our home and all worldly possessions but we still have the peace and joy of the Living God in our hearts. I am encouraging my neighbors to place their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ."

In response, Asia Harvest has already provided initial emergency funds for food, water, clothing, medicine, bedding, cooking-ware and shelter. In the coming days and weeks we hope to provide so that the Christian families who have lost their homes may start to rebuild.
