There has been an explosion of growth in many areas since the dawn of the new millennium, with one report of 100,000 people coming to Christ in a three-year period: DAWN Friday Fax (22 June 2001). The house church networks report rapid growth, especially among Han people in and around Urumqi. They, in turn, have spread the Gospel throughout other areas of Xinjiang. Although there have been encouraging signs among the Muslim minority groups, they continue to be largely unreached and unevangelized.
